Alison Brysk

ALISON BRYSK is the Mellichamp Professor of Global Governance in the Global and International Studies Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  She has authored or edited eight books on international human rights (see the Research Page). Professor Brysk has been a visiting scholar in Argentina, Ecuador, France, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Japan, and held the Fulbright Distinguished Visiting Chair in Global Governance at Canada's CIGI.  In 2011, she served as the Fulbright Senior Specialist at Ravenshaw University in Orissa, India. (see her c.v.). She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on human rights, international relations, civil society, and Latin American politics (see Teaching).  Blogs, op-eds, and policy analysis will be posted under News and Views.
